Big data has become a key component of enterprise architecture as a mechanism to provide previously unknown insights.  To accomplish this, the appropriate infrastructure needs to be defined and configured.  During this session, Roger Lenihan, Big Data Evangelist at SPR Consulting, will present the installation and configuration of HDInsight and the deployment of a Hadoop cluster along with use cases of how the environment can be leveraged for data exploration and to provide insights.

The Chicago SQL BI User Group hosts free monthly meetings for SQL and Business Intelligence professionals to meet, learn, and network. Speakers present a different topic each month covering both SQL BI topics and relevant non-SQL technologies. Dinner, refreshments, and door prizes are provided by sponsors.
