An Intro to SharePoint Online & Office 365 Development Using the New Tool Chain

SPR is a sponsor of the Chicago Office 365 User Group. In this talk, Ralph Rivas walks through setting up a fresh developer workspace to be used for developing with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx). This is a major change to “traditional” SharePoint programming for SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint On Premises (SP 2016 and onward).

Ralph’s talk starts with a short history for perspective and moves quickly into demonstrations leveraging Azure. Along the way, there are cliff notes on how to use the tools in the chain to help folks who are both new to the system and those who have been using it since it was introduced in 2016.
