Silicon Cowboys – A Techumentary Series
Launched in 1982 by three friends in a Houston diner, Compaq Computer set out to build a portable PC to take on IBM, the world’s most powerful tech company. Many others had tried duplicating IBM’s code, only to face legal opposition. However, Compaq’s vision for a portable PC found astonishing success, sending shockwaves through the industry and overthrowing a tech giant.
Join us for the second installment of our Techumentary Series at ITKAN! In June we’ll view and discuss Silicon Cowboys, a riveting documentary on the computer company that paved the way for innovation and disruption.
