To SPR Consulting, civic engagement means working to make a difference in the life of our communities by imparting knowledge, developing skills, and inspiring collaboration. We believe that civic engagement is comprised of two core components: supporting diversity and inclusion in underserved populations and supporting innovation and technology initiatives.
DIVERSITY and INCLUSION
SPR Consulting champions workforce diversity and inclusion, placing talented technology professionals with disabilities on IT teams in the Midwest.
With training, mentoring, networking and job placement, the reward is felt throughout every hiring organization.
Providing urban young adults with the skills, experience and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.
We love supporting innovation and technology initiatives in Chicago. We participate in civic hacks to support the development of new tools that make our city a better place for all and educate Chicago’s youth by sponsoring technology related field trips at SPR. We align with like-minded organizations and initiatives including Chicago Public Schools, the ITF’s 50 for the Future, and the National Center for Women and Information Technology.
ADA 25 CHICAGO
SPR Consulting is proud to be a part of the ADA 25 Chicago’s network of partners who have committed to expanding access, inclusion and opportunity for people with disabilities. SPR’s Pat Maher recently participated in the ADA 25 and Motorola Mobility accessibility Hackathon.
With the help of Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, Matthew Guido ended his 4 year stretch of unemployment when he was hired as a testing engineer at SPR Consulting. Fox 32 News legal analyst Larry Yellen interviewed Matthew about his story of being long-term unemployed.
SPR is committed to solving societal challenges and strives for deep diversity, supporting candidate segments that often get overlooked. I hope other companies are inspired to follow their lead.
